It was very clean and comfortable and was well supplied with everything needed for everyday living with all home comforts. The caravan is nicely situated on the site with a very pleasant uninterrupted views from the lounge and outdoor terrace. The view looked out over the river and fields with hills in the distance. The caravan park is ideally situated close to the beach and harbour where there are plenty of nice places to eat. There is also a pleasant, easy walk to Bridport. Booking the caravan was straight forward. Plenty of information was provided when booking and all communication was dealt with in an efficient friendly manner. Check in was easy and first impressions of the van was very tastefully decorated. It was very comfortable, spacious and well equipped and had lovely homely feel about it. The beds were great and it was useful having two toilets. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend. All the caravans we have stayed in have been good quality and comfortable and the Ashridge was perhaps the best so far - spacious, well equipped with everything you could need, and very comfortable. Nice big decking area, handy having two loos. A good quality caravan, we were very happy with it. The property is spotless, the rooms are spacious, and the facilitiesd are top notch. The village is very friendly and welcoming one, the nearest beach is about 20 mins walk away, a kids play area about 5 mins walk, and reliable buse servie to other places of interest in the area. It has everything you need. The garden is lovely and the ram and alpaca at the bottom are fun to watch. Two pubs in the same road. If you feel like a stroll walk down the side of the bungalow to the Anchor pub, views are amazing wherever you look. The pictures of the bungalow really dont do it justice. Beds were so comfy, LOVED having the bath, site position was also brill as no loud noises. Been staying with West Bay Caravan Hire for years, we've never had a bad holiday, or disappointing caravan. Would totally recommend this, as I have some friends, as a very family oriented place to stay. When we arrived the caravan was immaculate. So well looked after and welcoming. Upon further investigation I can honestly say that this is the best stocked caravan I have ever stayed in. Cutlery (decent at that), cooking equipment, games, books, DVD's, you name it, they were all ther in abundance! It really helped with that home form home feel! Prices to stay here are extremely reasonable and the communication from the owners is brilliant! West Bay is a wonderful place to stay with lots to do. If you enjoy beautiful sights and long walks, it is perfect for you! I would highly recommend a stay in the Ashridge caravan and we will certainly be back again! A lovely van modern very clean and everything you may need. Having the French doors opening onto the balcony was a real bonus as the sun was shining all of the time. The caravan was very homely and cosy real pleasure to stay in. We enjoyed a fantastic meal in the Bridport Arms Hotel and a great although slightly pricey Sunday lunch at the Station Restaurant although the decor was worth the extra few pounds. We had a fantastic time, the caravan is beautiful, the best one I've ever stopped in!! I cannot believe how close it is to the harbour, so picturesque and peaceful. Again can't tell you how lovely our break was, well worth my 5 hour drive. Many thanks Miss L Woods -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.11.17 (Ashridge) This is the best caravan we have ever stayed in, equipped beyond expectation with full sized ktichen appliances, coffee pots, DVD's games etc, etc. The heating was super efficient and we kept turning it off. It was very clean and so comfortale in the lounge area itself, light and airy. The site itself is small and safe for small children and only a few minutes walk to the glorious West Bay beach itself which has all the amenities needed for a relaxing break. It is ideally situated for lovely coastal walks and a place you want to keep returning to. Dealing with the owners by e-mail was efficoent and quick and even the deposit was returned within days. A superb service and value for money. Thank you. I contacted West Bay Caravan Hire and found them so helpful can't thank them enough. They offered us the Primero caravan, we found it excellent very clean with all the equipment nescessary, freeview tv, dvd, pots and pans etc. On site all amenities, entertainment, swimming pool, shop and bar. Outside the site brillaint pubs and bars. Not having booked a caravan break before I would efinately recomment West Bay Caravan Hire. The caravan was great - Particularly liked the king size bed. The van was very spacious and lounge area was very comfortable with a great aspect. Its postion on site was great with fantastic views. Having dedicated parking just outside was a bonus. Although quite an 'elderly' van nothing was lacking - central heating, double glazing, well equipped kitchen and lashings of hot water. West Bay is an amazing location and you need to go no further than the harbour and beach. The only outing you really need to make is to Morrisons in Bridport! Great place to relax. The caravan was great. Lovely and clean. Comfortable seating and beds, with nice outside area to sit in the mornings we were perfect location to catch the sun, with an area for the kids. Sited at the end of the site it was nice and private with easy access to all amenties. The site was clean, friendly staff with a decent swimming pool, club with evening entertainment and small arcade for the kids. Lots going on in surrounding areas. Lovely views from the beach which unfortunately is more shingle than sand, but the kids loved it. You can even do a spot of sea fishing ans crabbing. An all round great holiday, highly recommended. We will for sure be returning. The caravan was lovely and the facilities were great. My grandson who is 3 was so excited to go dancing every night and the entertainers worked really hard and made sure the children had a good time. The pool was just right for the little ones and had a larger pool for bigger kids and adults. We were also very lucky with the weather and the beach was only a sort walk away. It was very clean and felt safe as they had lifeguards on duty all day. Plenty of places to eat either on site or within a short distance from the park. The instructions were very comprehensive and we had no prolems getting passes. We would definitely stay at the Park on another occasion and I have been recommending it to family and colleagues at work. I am always nervous about how clean the bedding is going to be but I needn't have worried. Very personal service. You can pay with confidence. A small extra charge to use the site facilities proved worthwhile as we do not have children but there is an adults only hour at the indoor swimming pool from 9.00 until 10.00 each morning. Not only the caravan but West Bay itself. I think they spent a few lazy afternoons in the harbour. Even when they did venture out within 30 minutes you could explore other parts of Dorset. They said it was a good base for sight seeing. I would be surprised if you did not hear from them again some time soon. We popped up for a night, having never visited this area before... If you had any available dates in September we would book ourselves! what lovely mixture, beach, walks, harbour etc, it has a little bit of something for everyone and without even moving the car. The caravan was amazingly decked out with all the equipment needed from bedguard to pram, to all the comforts of home.... the caravan was clean and well kept to a high standard, and we will recommend you to many friends. We never got the chance for a barbecue as we were either out enjoying the area or it sadly rained. When the weather was nice, it was lovely sitting out on the decked area. The area of West Bay was beautiful and friendly, and highly recommend to anyone to go. The holiday site was fantastic and the kids loved the park and being so close to the beach. Our youngest loved the fields with all the sheep and cows. And our daughter was never out of the swimming pool, she has made so many friends who she is now keeping in touch with. Many thanks again for all the wonderful information you gave us leading up to the holiday, including the directions which were a great help.
