The Wishing Well is located in the village of Chideock and a private property. Please note the bungalow is not on a holiday park.

Sorry for holiday hire only. No long term lets available, due to the owners using the property for their own holiday breaks.

EV Charger available for your use at a extra charge (by prior arrangement. Please ask for details).

PLEASE NOTE THE BUNGALOW IS A PRIVATE PROPERTY SET IN A VILLAGE.

THE VILLAGE OF CHIDEOCK IS LOCATED BETWEEN WEST BAY AND LYME REGIS.

IT IS NOT LOCATED ON THE WEST BAY HOLIDAY PARK. ONLY CARAVANS ARE LOCATED ON THE HOLIDAY PARK.

 

THE LIVING AREA

The living area is located to the rear of the property.

The area has a L shape seating which looks out through the french doors and across the established garden and to the fields behind.

On a feature wall is a tv, with Sky box and DVD player. Below is a electric fire.

This area also has 2 sockets with USB charging facilities.

Free Wifi is also available.

Behind the seating area follows the dining area.

THE DINING AREA

The dining area is located between the living area and kitchen.

A table and chairs that comfortably seats 4 people.

In this area is a radiator.

 

THE KITCHEN AREA

The kitchen is located to the front of the bungalow and looks out across the driveway, front garden and across to thatched cottages.

The kitchen follows on from the dining area.

In a L shape the kitchen has top and bottom cupboards.

Kettle, toaster and microwave.

The hob is a electric touch operated and the oven electric via dials. And an extractor fan.

There is a fridge/freezer, along with a dishwasher and washing machine available for your use.

The kitchen contains everything you would need for your stay.

The is area is heated with a radiator.

MASTER BEDROOM

The master is located to the back of the property and is very light due to the dual aspect windows.

There is a king size bed with bedside cabinets with drawers underneath and hanging lights above. Over each bedside cabinets are dimable switches to the bedside lights, along with a socket each which also have 2 USB sockets

Wardrobes with plenty of space to store your clothes.

The rear window looks out across the back garden and across the fields.

To the side of the property is the second window which looks out and over the neighbouring bungalows and up to the hills in the distance.

This area is heated via a radiator.

TWIN BEDROOM

The twin bedroom is located to the front of the bungalow.

This room contains 2 single beds with a bedside cabinet with drawers and bedside light.

Above the cabinet is a socket which has 2 USB sockets.

Wardrobes have plenty of storage for your clothes.

The bedroom is heated via a radiator.

THE BATHROOM ROOM

The bathroom is located to the side of the bungalow.

With a toilet, wash basin with cabinet underneath. Above is a wall mirror which has a push button light and a shaver point housed inside a sliding compartment.

A large electric shower with dual sliding doors. Within the shower is a fold down seat and hand rails inside and exactor fan.

This area is heated with a towel rail radiator.

 

Wishing Well

FRONT GARDEN AND DRIVEWAY

To the front of the bungalow is a shared driveway with the adjoining neighbour. The driveway sweeps to the right where it becomes the driveway for The Wishing Well. And can accommodate 2 cars.

There is a large front garden planted with mature plants, lawn and partly walled (please note part of the lawned garden is open and raised up from the road. The road is directly outside the property boundary and there is no path on the side of the road to the bungalow. There is a pathway the opposite side).

From the driveway you enter the property through a gate, this leads to a stepped decked area leading up the the main front door.

 

BACK GARDEN

The rear garden has a large lawned garden which looks out over fields and hills to both the back and side.

In between the lovely mature plants in the rear garden is the Well. A lovely feature of a 22ft deep, stone walled well and where The Wishing Well gets its name.

(The well is covered for safety with a grille).

The garden is accessed from the living area through a set of french doors. These lead to a stepped decked area which sweeps down into the garden.

SIDE GARDEN

To the side of the bungalow is a large decked area.

A table and chairs is available for outside eating.

The area also has lighting to enjoy those warmer evenings.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO HOT TUB.

The advertising name of The Wishing Well is taken from the well located in the rear garden.

The well does have a grille on it for safety of people. However it is a actual working well.

This is a lovely feature to the garden and has lights that automatically come on in the evening.

BOTTOM OF THE GARDEN

The Wishing Well has more. The end of the garden is a wired fence to its boundary.

Just over the boundary is a pen. Within the pen you can currently view a Aplaca belonging to the neighbouring farm. Beyond there is another pen which you can see sheep.

Very relaxing sitting having a drink and watching the animals.

are all available for your use free of charge.

 

EV CHARGER

CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE

The Wishing Well now has its own EV Charger.

Electric charging is only available via the supplied EV Charger.

Please note : - The use of this service is chargeable on top of the holiday cost.

Request to use the charger is by prior arrangement.

Please contact us for details.

Alternatively you can use the EV Chargers located in the car park next to the Spar Shop.

LOCAL AREA

Within 1 min walk is a small local Spar shop with post office.

Morrisons in Bridport is available and approx 10 mins drive.

A few mins drive towards Charmouth is the local farm shop.

A few mins walk are 2 local pubs The George Inn and the Clockhouse. Both of which serve lovely food.

A short walk from the bungalow and along a public footpath is a play area for children and incorporates and large grassed area. This is a beautiful walk going over a bridge to a stream.

Further along the footpath which leads onto a fairly quiet road you go by some beautiful properties and scenery. Walk this route for approx 19 mins and you are brought out to the beach at Seatown (parking also available @ cost if you require to drive).

At Seatown is another lovely pub the The Anchor Inn. Here too they serve some lovely food.

Lyme Regis and Weymouth are a short drive away.

 

HEATING

The bungalow has a electric fire in the living area and central heating throughout.

PARKING

Parking is to the front of the bungalow. This is accessed via a shared driveway.

A max of 2 cars are permitted only.

These must not restrict access to the shared part of the driveway at any time.

Parking is not allowed on the grassed areas.

CCTV

Please note, the outside is covered by camera's for the security of the property. These are only on the outside of the building. There is no audio to these camera's. There are 4 camera's, one across the rear of the property, one across the side and one across the front. The fourth is pointing into the nearby field.

LINENS

All beds are supplied with either a king size or single duvet.King size has 4 x pillows and singles 2 x pillows each. .

We do request that all guests supply their own bed linen. Including duvet covers, pillow cases, sheets, towels and tea towels for their stay.

TV Licence

Please note your own TV Licence does not cover you in the bungalow.

All our properties are covered by their own separate TV Licences.

We ourselves personnally privately own the Ashridge caravan. And manage all other properties on behalf of their private owners.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

The bungalow is checked at regular intervals, by a certified contractor.

Gas is certificated each year.
Electric is certificated every 5 years.
(Certificates are displayed in the bungalow)

All electrical items are PAT tested by a certified contractor.

Fire and Carbon Monoxide detectors.
(These are checked before each letting).

RESTRICTIONS

No smoking is permitted within the bungalow (ashtrays are provided for outside use only),

No pets allowed,

Parties, whose members are under the age of 21 years,

Parties, whose members are all male or all female,

Parties, whose members exceed the number of berths contained in our property.
